We help people of all ages and from all communities who are vulnerable and in genuine need.

In the past year we have helped:

• 1,944 children and young people
• 486 older people living in poverty
• 652 disabled people
• 324 people with mental health problems
• 724 carers
• 423 people facing homelessness

 

Shelley's Story
                               

Shelley lives with cerebral palsy and although severely disabled she lives independently. She was referred to us when her specialist wheelchair needed to be replaced. Her deteriorating health also meant that she urgently needed a specialist eye-controlled communication computer. Neither of these items could be provided by the NHS.

So our dedicated staff used their expertise to raise over £20,000 from a variety of trusts to buy these items. Shelley can now continue to live independently, communicate with her friends and family and carry on her work with other disabled people.
