‘Show Me the Money’ beat fellow colleagues ‘Major Change’ to win the coveted title of ‘April Pub Quiz Champions’.

Teams ‘Four Turners and IT’ and ’Ann Frank’s Drum Kit’ took the 3rd and 4th places.

Sue McEniff, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at Leicester Charity Link, “Everyone had a great night, Carl Horton was fantastic as the pub quiz master and £280 was raised to help the most vulnerable in our community.

PartyatthePub.co.uk has teamed up with Leicester Charity Link to host a pub quiz with a difference at their Leicester City Centre pub – The Reynard on Market Street.

Carl Horton, Midlands Area Sales Manager for PartyatthePub.co.uk said, “I met Susie McEniff, Leicester Charity Link’s Director of Marketing and Fundraising, at a local networking event and we hit it off straight away. When Susie explained about the work that Leicester Charity Link gets involved with, along with the fact that she’s always on the lookout for great new ways to fundraise I knew we had to get involved.

Whilst a pub quiz isn’t innovative in and of itself, a PartyinthePub.co.uk pub quiz definitely is!”

Whilst Carl wouldn’t be drawn on specific details he added, “As well as hosting the event, providing a compère and working with Susie on the questions, we will also donate £2 from each jug of Woo Woo and Mojito ordered on the night to Leicester Charity Link. We’ll also be offering pub quizzers 25% off our new menu on the night as well and I’m sure Susie won’t rest until she’s wrangled a prize from us too!”

Added Susie, “The Reynard is a great centrally located venue and they are a fun, warm and very generous team. I’m really looking forward to running this event with them and to making it a regular monthly quiz. With ticket prices at just £4 for person our aim is to make this a fun yet competitive evening which helps to spread the Leicester Charity Link name and the vital work we do even further.”

The first ParytinthePub.co.uk and Leicester Charity Link pub quiz will take place on the 26th April and bookings can be made by calling PartyinthePub.co.uk’s central reservations line on 08456 049904.

An extra special Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival 2012 experience was held at Bistro Live and raised over £1,300 for Leicester Charity Link. Over 100 guests attended the sell out gig to enjoy a night of good company, great food and fantastic comedy.

Gary O’Donnell, compère, entertained the crowd with his tales of Leicester, the unique comedy double act, Brian Damage and his glamorous assistant Krysstal, set the scene with their music and deadpan comedy. The gags just kept coming and coming from comedians Isaac Lee, Ben Ennis and Leanne McKie. Then Anthony King headlined the evening with his unique brand of dry wit, observational comedy and of course songs. A fantastic evening was had by all and the best bit, £1,300 was raised for a worthwhile cause.

Sue McEniff, Director of Marketing & Fundraising at Leicester Charity Link, said “It was a fabulous night; a big thank you to everyone who supported our comedy event, Bistro Live, Sam Johnson for the photography, Anthony King and all the comedians who ensured that the night was a great success. Due to the unique way in which we work we can convert every £10 donated into £50 by accessing money from charitable trusts that are available to help individuals in need. Which means that we can convert the £1,300 raised on the night into £6,500 – all of which will go help many, many, local people and children in desperate need.”
